Ultimatum

6th February 2020
(Poem)

When I said I don't want to be alone

That it's not enough just speaking on the phone

Somehow I felt your face in my hands,

I swear I heard your heart scream

 I love

 I love

 to be touched.

Then when I said I was leaving tomorrow,

that I couldn't live one more day with this sorrow,

you softened your voice to a song

I swear I heard your soul scream

 I hate

 I hate

to be changed.

I am a septuagenarian insomniac who is grateful for the extra time to play. I started work at 15 1/2 years old in Electronics refurbishing Gyroscopic Gunsights used in Spitfires, left work to bring up my children then returned to eventually head the Technical Dept. at Sky TV in the good old analogue days. At the moment I dabble in buying junk and selling Antiques as well as reviving my 70's interest in String n Pin Art ( well I say Art) as painful as I remember and as much fun too. I make jewellery, some Steampunk also bead necklaces with sayings such as "KISS MY DONKEY" and "CARPE DIEM"
